About me
I am DeAnn Nixt. I have been employed at Hawkeye Community College for 15 years. During my time at Hawkeye I have always served the Adult Education and Literacy program. I have been a technology instructor, hybrid HSC instructor, coordinator of professional development, and now my position is directed toward student services as the Manager of AEL Enrollment and Assessment Services. I oversee the enrollment process for the ELL and HSC programs. I also supervise the Assessment Center, Registration services, Career Pathway services, and the Transition services. What I like most about my job is that I get to be part of the student's experience from beginning to end and even stay up to date on their progress after their time with the AEL program.
