About me
Karen has worked in education her entire career and first started using CASAS assessments more than 20 years ago. She began teaching ESL to adults in a small workplace project at an Indiana factory and continued at local programs writing curriculum and teaching ESL, EL Civics, ABE and GED. Before joining CASAS as a National Program and Field Studies Specialist, Karen served as a CASAS state trainer while working for Indiana’s State Department of Adult Education as a Professional Development and Assessment Specialist. In her tenure there, Karen was responsible for program monitoring and technical assistance, grant writing, coordinating and presenting at conferences and workshops on a wide range of topics for adult educators in Indiana.
