About me
Dr. Kevin O’Connor is the executive director of Framingham Adult ESL Plus, the largest publicly-funded adult education program in New England. Dr. O’Connor has over 30 years of working in a variety of teaching and leadership roles in adult education and teacher education. He has taught in universities, community colleges, and workplace education programs, but has always stayed in adult education.He holds post-graduate degrees in Linguistics, Literature, and Public Administration, and a PhD in Teacher Education, none of which truly prepared him for his current work as a community organizer, a voice in public policy, and a fundraiser. He has presented at national and regional conferences and university symposia, and is currently the chair of Framingham Community Partners, the MetroWest ESL Fund Committee, and co-chair of the Massachusetts ABE Directors Council, and sits on the boards of several public, private, and nonprofit organizations.
